Relational presence for moments and seasons of change

Ruslyn Smith

WELCOME

There are times when life calls for a place to pause, just as things are.
There are also seasons of deeper change, when something old is loosening and something new is not yet clear.
I offer two ways of being accompanied, with care and attention to what feels most supportive.

PRESENCE SESSIONS

Brief, relational support in the midst of life.

Presence sessions offer a space to slow down and be met.The time is held with care and openness, allowing whatever is present to be welcomed. There is room for whatever feels ready to be shared, for silence, for emotion, or for simply sitting together. Nothing needs to be prepared or decided in advance. The session unfolds at a natural pace, shaped by what feels most supportive in the moment. Many people notice a sense of settling, relief, or reconnection.Something often softens. Breath deepens. Attention returns to what feels true and of value. These sessions are for anyone seeking a pause, a place to arrive more fully into themselves,or support that honors where they are, as they are.

THRESHOLD COMPANIONING

Threshold Companioning is a way of being accompanied during times when something in your life is shifting, but has not yet resolved into clarity or direction. These are periods when an old way of being is loosening, a role or identity is ending, or the familiar ground beneath you no longer holds in the same way, and you find yourself in between what was and what is still forming, even if it remains unnamed. This kind of support can be especially meaningful:
• when you are moving from one stage of life into another
• when a role, relationship, or identity is changing or ending
• when work, purpose, or direction no longer fits in the same way
• when something inward is rearranging and you need space to listen for what is quietly forming within
• when you find yourself between what was and what is becoming
The space is held with care, deep listening, and respect for your own timing and inner knowing. In this pause from the external, we stay close to what is unfolding, allowing clarity and direction to emerge in their own way.People often notice a growing sense of ease and inner ground in themselves, a clearer relationship to what is ending and what is beginning, and a deeper trust in their own inner orientation. This work is offered in a limited and intentional way, and unfolds over a period of time shaped by the threshold you are moving through.
